The lane into the site is quite long, and not wide enough to allow two cars to pass let alone caravans.
In busy times I'm told, the safest way is for your partner to walk to the end of
the lane to stop any one entering before leaving with the van.
David and Maureen were very friendly, and we were told to park any where, there were
pitches free by the river, and that is where we unhitched and plugged into the hook-
There are no facilities apart from the water tap. Although a large site 100 pitches, there are no toilets or showers, so basic is the word, but the view was good and peaceful. There is a recreation room, but nothing was happening at the time we were there.
I think it rained every day at some point, and I mean rain. I don't think I will be going back. Of course if you like the races Sandown Park is close by.
John Stanford.
Grays note.
I asked John about any fishing from this site, but as he is not an angler, he didn't know. It might be worth checking this, as the site is on the Thames. Fishing is available from 16th June until the site closes
